PhD student at the Federal University of São Carlos and at the ICM since March 2017.
Crossing the sea to study the sea. I am a Brazilian PhD student working in two big projects in hope to learn how to solve the most interesting biological puzzles in terms of water microbiomes. I am Biotechnologist, master in Biochemistry with emphasis in protein engineering and now I work using the most technological solutions to comprehend and explain our huge biological diversity present in Amazonian freshwater system and Oceans over world.
My main goal is try to identify and understand the role of the main ecologically relevant genes from a metagenome-associated genome (MAG) of a fungus identified as Tilletiopsis, previously recovered from Marine in depth sequencing data. It will be done an entire assessment of the annotations, allied to new annotations using additional databases, like signalP and CAZY. My PhD project involves also test and describe systems of freshwater in Amazonian river basin ecosystem. Despite test new cool features in the front line of the bioinformatics.
